Role Summary:
The HVAC Technician ensures all air-conditioning and ventilation systems are running at optimal performance. The role focuses on diagnostics, repair, installation, duct cleaning, and system tuning to maintain indoor comfort and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and repair split, ducted, and package AC units.
- Conduct gas charging, leak repair, brazing, and vacuuming.
- Inspect and clean coils, filters, blowers, and condensate lines.
- Perform duct cleaning using specialized machines.
- Check thermostat calibration and adjust airflow/balancing.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits of AC units (capacitors, relays, sensors).
- Monitor system load and suggest energy-saving improvements.
- Record readings such as temperature, pressure, and amperage.
- Assist in chiller support tasks (if required).
- Comply with HSE and permit‑to‑work procedures
- Respond to emergency cooling breakdowns in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in HVAC servicing. (UAE preferred)
- Diploma/Certificate in HVAC/AC or Refrigeration technology.
- Strong troubleshooting knowledge for refrigerant and electrical issues.
- Ability to use gauges, manifolds, leak detectors, and power meters.
- Understanding of IAQ (indoor air quality).
- Ability to work in hot/outdoor environments.
- Must be able to communicate effectively by writing, telephone and personal meeting situations.
- Must be organized, honest, and work well with others, and have an outgoing personality.
- Must speak in a clear, understandable voice and hear at a basic level, and understand English.
